He has more than 21 years international experience in food and biomedical research, technical and management consultancy, and projects management.
He is a professional member of The Nutrition Society (UK), the American Society for Quality, the American Society for Microbiology, and the Society of Dairy Technology (UK).
Bill has published extensively on probiotics, edible table spreads, and quality engineering technology.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of the Internet Journal of Food Safety and of the Advisory Board of the Egyptian Journal of Dairy Science.
He has served as a reviewer for the International Dairy Journal, Food Microbiology, Applied & Environmental Microbiology, and Pharmacological Research.
He has served as a member of the European Lactic Acid Bacteria Industry Platform, Chairman of the Casein Technical Working Group at the European Dairy Association, and as a member of the Technical Working Group at the European Whey Products Association.

He is a professional member of the Society of Dairy Technology (UK), the Food Marketing Institute (USA), and the Marketing Institute, Ireland.
